Take a walk before opening the feeds
Put a chosen movement goal before today's social feed.
Before you start
Open Tysh on your iPhone and grant Screen Time access when prompted.
Choose an App List in Blocks → Active → App Lists, or create one from the block editor. Free includes one list you can reuse. Additional lists require Premium.
This goal reads steps from Apple Health with your permission. Health data stays on your device.
Let’s set it up.
Create your boundary
Open Blocks → + → Time Block, name it Walk first, and choose your App List.
Choose a steps goal
Select Challenge, choose Steps, and set the target to 5,000.
Make it a daily boundary
Select every day, leave All Day on, and tap Create.
Check your progress
Open the active block's status and use Check again; allow Apple Health read access when prompted.
Complete the block
Once today's recorded steps reach the target, return to the block and tap Complete block. Tysh checks the goal again before ending this block for today.
What happens next
Meeting and confirming the goal ends this Challenge Block for the day; it re-arms on the next scheduled day. Progress uses today's Health data, so earlier steps today can count. It does not require all 5,000 steps to happen after creating the block. Manually entered Health data is excluded.
If your plans change
There is no ordinary Pause or End for Today; one challenge-gated emergency end is available per block per local week. The goal kind is fixed after creation, but its numeric target is editable. Other active protections still apply after goal completion.
Another active protection can still keep the same app blocked. After setup, check that your boundary saved and enabled successfully.
