Terms of Use
These Terms govern your use of Tysh, including the iOS app, subscriptions, and the website at ty.sh.
Agreement
These Terms of Use are between you and So Nerdy LLC. By downloading, accessing, subscribing to, or using Tysh, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Tysh.
Your use of the iOS app is also subject to Apple's App Store terms and the Apple Standard End User License Agreement, unless Apple or So Nerdy LLC provides another agreement that applies.
Eligibility
Tysh is intended for users age 13 and older. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Tysh only with permission from a parent or guardian.
What Tysh Provides
Tysh helps you set app blocks, focus sessions, launch budgets, and discipline goals using Apple Screen Time technologies. Tysh is a productivity and digital wellness tool. It is not medical, mental health, or professional advice, and it does not guarantee that you will reduce screen time, avoid distractions, or achieve any particular result.
Accounts and Sync
You may use Tysh without an account, but some backup and sync features require signing in. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account.
Tysh may sync settings, block configuration, launch-budget configuration, and discipline scores through Firebase. Detailed Screen Time usage and app activity are not synced to Tysh's Firebase database.
Subscriptions
Tysh may offer auto-renewable subscriptions, including monthly and yearly plans. Subscription prices, durations, included features, and any trial terms are shown before purchase in the App Store purchase flow.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your Apple ID account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings. Deleting the app or deleting your Tysh account does not automatically cancel an active Apple subscription. Refund requests are handled by Apple according to Apple's policies.
Screen Time Permissions and Device Limits
Tysh depends on Apple's Screen Time, FamilyControls, DeviceActivity, and ManagedSettings technologies. Some features require permissions that you can grant or revoke in iOS. Blocking behavior may vary based on iOS version, device settings, Apple platform limitations, app updates, and circumstances outside our control.
Acceptable Use
- Do not use Tysh for unlawful, harmful, abusive, or fraudulent activity.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or misuse Tysh or its services.
- Do not access another person's account or data without permission.
- Do not use Tysh in a way that violates Apple, Google, Firebase, or App Store rules.
Your Content and Settings
You keep ownership of the names, settings, schedules, and other content you create in Tysh. You give So Nerdy LLC permission to process that information as needed to operate, sync, secure, and support Tysh, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Intellectual Property
Tysh, including its software, design, branding, logos, and content, is owned by So Nerdy LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Tysh for your own personal use.
Third-Party Services
Tysh relies on third-party services and platforms, including Apple services, Firebase, Google Sign-In, and Vercel. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services that we do not control.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information. By using Tysh, you acknowledge that we process information as described in the Privacy Policy.
Changes to Tysh or These Terms
We may update Tysh, add or remove features, change pricing for future billing periods, or revise these Terms. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and may provide additional notice in the app or on the website. Continued use of Tysh after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
Termination
You may stop using Tysh at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for Tysh or other users, or if we discontinue the service. Sections that by their nature should survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, and payment terms, will survive termination.
Disclaimers
Tysh is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent allowed by law, So Nerdy LLC disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, So Nerdy LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, loss of goodwill, service interruption, or device issues. To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for claims related to Tysh will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for Tysh in the three months before the claim or $50 USD.
Apple Terms
Apple is not responsible for Tysh or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Tysh. If you downloaded Tysh from the App Store, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms as they relate to your use of the iOS app and may enforce those terms against you.
