Hold a firm boundary for an important deadline
Choose a stronger commitment for a work window you want to finish.
Before you start
Open Tysh on your iPhone and grant Screen Time access when prompted.
Choose an App List in Blocks → Active → App Lists, or create one from the block editor. Free includes one list you can reuse. Additional lists require Premium.
Complete blocks require Premium. Read the commitment and emergency-end rules before creating one.
Let’s set it up.
Choose your apps
Open Blocks → + → Time Block, name it Deadline, and choose your App List.
Choose your commitment
Select Complete and read the commitment details before creating it.
Set the work window
Select Friday, turn All Day off, and set 14:00–16:00.
Create and review
Tap Create. This repeats on Fridays; disable or remove the schedule after the window if it was for a single deadline.
What happens next
There is no ordinary Pause or End for Today. Complete also prevents app removal and requires automatic date and time while active.
If your plans change
There is one challenge-gated emergency end per block per local week. Use this recipe when you deliberately want that stronger commitment; it is not the default recommendation for beginners.
Another active protection can still keep the same app blocked. After setup, check that your boundary saved and enabled successfully.
